While Mountain Brook’s O’Neal Library is closed for renovations, we are pleased to be able to temporarily host a number of the library’s programs here at The J. Our members have a great opportunity to participate in book discussions, workshops, and other events. See the details...

Other happenings

• POOL HOURS: Starting Aug. 24, the outdoor pool will be open only for lap swimmers during the week, and family swim times will transition to Saturdays and Sundays only, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Lap swimming will move to the indoor pool during swim team practices Mondays-Thursdays, 4-6:45 p.m.
• Our next Mahj 101 introductory mahjong class starts Oct. 6
• School's Out Camp starts back up in October.

• Order your weekly challah from Chabad and designate pick-up here at The J; we'll also have a few extra plain loaves available for $7 at the Welcome Desk.

STORYTIME — Students from our Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center enjoyed attending O'Neal Public Library's recently restarted All Together Storytime. The popular program for children is just part of the O'Neal programming that we're hosting here at The J while the library is undergoing extensive renovations. Other storytimes that will restart in September include Patty Cake (for infants-18 months), Toddler Tales (toddlers to age 3), and Movers & Makers (ages 3-5 years). Levite JCC members are encouraged to sign up to attend these free enrichment programs.
