I am The J: Joel Pryor can put on a show

If you’ve ever been to a concert and felt that surge of excitement when the lights dim and the artist walks on stage, you’ve experienced the culmination of countless behind-the-scenes decisions. For Joel Pryor, a professional tour manager, that moment is the payoff.

Joint annual meeting set for January 25

Birmingham’s Jewish organizations will join forces for a first-ever combined annual meeting at the Levite JCC on Sunday, January 25, 3-4:15p.m. Other represented organizations will include the Alabama Holocaust Education Center, the Birmingham Jewish Federation and Foundation, Collat Jewish Family Services, and the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School.

 

The Levite JCC portion of the meeting will include presenting awards to three outstanding members and voting in The J’s new board of directors. Get all the details and RSVP...

TEAMWORK — We've seen plenty of action during our current youth basketball program, including a few plays that could put our adult regulars to shame (just kidding!). But seriously, the kids are doing a great job of learning the rules, devloping skills, and working together.
