MANDATED REPORTER

All staff members at the Y are considered to be “mandatory reporters” under New York State Law.  As mandatory reporters, Y staff members are subject to heightened reporting requirements.

INCIDENT REPORTING

It is important that all injuries, accidents, and occurrences, are reported so that they can be investigated, the causes determined, and the risk eliminated. Reporting incidents helps prevent additional injuries and occurrences and also increase workplace safety. 

INCIDENTS ARE NOT JUST INJURIES! They can be property damage, alleged abuse situations, lost child/person situations, etc. PLEASE BE SURE TO DOCUMENT ANY OCCURRENCES.

Incident Reports are for internal purposes only. Members, guests, and volunteers should not receive copies at any time.

CYPHERWORX TRAININGS

Just a reminder... Annual Cypherworx trainings are required for all staff who started prior to January 1, 2025.  The deadline is October 15. Trainings should be scheduled by your supervisor and must be completed at the branches. Thank you for keeping our staff, members and organization safe.

OPEN ENROLLMENT IS COMING

Open enrollment for 2026 benefits is coming soon. Please keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks. 

NEW in 2025! Our Innovation Team is working hard to find ways to improve the employee experience and to recognize achievements and milestones.  Celebrating our staff is always a great way to let everyone know YOU are appreciated.
