KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Independence Day Closure

The Butler Y will be closed on Saturday, July 4th. We will reopen with normal business hours on Sunday, July 5th. The outdoor pool at ARMCO Park in Slippery Rock WILL BE OPEN on Sat., July 4th!

 

Wellness Center & Men's Health Center Maintenance

The Wellness Center will be closed July 5th-11th for cleaning and rearranging! The Men's Health Center will also be closed during that timeframe for maintenance and cleaning.

 

Pool Reminders: We offer birthday parties on the weekends. While parties have a limit of swimmers so we can accommodate our members, there are times that the pool may closed entirely for a party due to ratios. We encourage you to call us before coming to swim on the weekends.

YOUTH SOCCER DRILLS & SKILLS

  • Learn the game of soccer while having fun with friends.
  • Ages 6-15; Thursdays, 6:30PM-7:30PM, beginning July 9th.

SPRING TRAINING STRONG

Thursdays, 4:00PM-5:00PM

Brand new, FREE (for members), fitness class for youth ages 10+! Youth will improve agility, build cardio and learn lifelong fitness skills. Proper form will be taught by a certified Personal Trainer. Sign up on the app.

 

SUMMER SPORTS CONDITIONING

Mondays, 8:00AM & Fridays 11:00AM

Calling all teens ages 14–17 looking to get stronger, faster, and more confident in their sport! This FREE (for members) class is designed to improve strength, agility, power, and athletic performance in a fun and supportive environment! Class will be taught by a certified Personal Trainer. PRIVATE SPORTS LESSONS

CHILD CARE

Four Great Child Care Programs:

Infant for ages 6 weeks-12 months. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries.

Toddler for ages 1-3 years. We build on the momentum of your toddlers’ natural curiosity and help them learn at their own pace. 

Preschool for ages 3-5 years. We've designed our program to nurture your child's growing individuality through days filled with interactive learning and group activities. Includes weekly swim lessons!

School Age Care for elementary school students. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone has a great start and end to their school day. Email ktennent@bcfymca.org.

Reach & Rise® is looking for positive, supportive adults 21+ to meet 1:1 with a youth weekly for 1-2 hours for one year at either the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA or the Butler YMCA. Think you don’t have what it takes to be a mentor? Think again. Check out the video, highlighting the experience of four of our current mentors.

  • Cost: $300
  • Available Friday & Saturdays, 7:00PM-9:00PM, June-August, 2026.
  • 75 people in the pool at one time. If children cannot pass our swim test, they must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult to 3 swimmers).
  • Groups can bring their own food in! Concession stand will be open upon request.

FACILITY RENTAL INFO
  • ARMCO Hall, Shelters, Dance Hall and Cabana Lounge reservations are open to the public.
  • Entire Park reservations are always available two years in advance!

  • Facility Rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis by completing a reservation online or calling 724-287-4733 x147. 
  • Reservations will be processed in the order they are received, online and in-person concurrently. Due to the nature of first come, first serve, reservations completed online and in-person will take priority over phone calls, voicemails, and form submissions.
  • ARMCO Park's 2026 Season runs Sunday, May 3rd-Sunday, Nov. 1st.
 

To make a reservation online:

  • Log in to Daxko and update/confirm your information or create a Non-Member Account. (You can do that here). You'll need this to make your reservation.
  • Add/confirm current billing information on your account.
  • Browse available areas and dates ahead of time. (View the list of available dates here). Reservations are arranged by area, then sorted by date. Keep in mind, entire park reservations are available up to 2 years in advance, so if a date is not listed, it is already booked.
