We’re excited to share an important next step in your YMCA’s long-term planning—and we’d love your input.

We are at the beginning stages of capital planning for two future locations—a Patterson Campus expansion (where the existing Tennis and Pickleball Center resides) and a potential future location in North Eugene.

To support our planning, you will receive a community survey within the next few days. The survey will help guide how YMCA facilities and programs can best serve our community over the next 20–30 years.

Your feedback will help identify priorities and shape future planning so the YMCA can continue supporting the health, connection, and well-being of individuals and families across our neighborhoods.

A few things to know about the survey:

  • It is being conducted in partnership with Triangle2, a nationally recognized research and consulting firm that has supported more than 500 mission-driven organizations.

  • It will be distributed through phone, email, and QR codes available at YMCA locations to encourage broad community participation.

  • Responses will be reviewed in aggregate to identify themes that will help inform future decisions.

This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to creating welcoming spaces where people of all ages can build connections, stay healthy, and thrive.

Below is additional information about each location:

Patterson Campus Expansion
(Where the Tennis & Pickleball Center Resides)

  • There are no plans to build additional courts at Patterson.

  • We are planning multi-purpose rooms to expand childcare, camps, group fitness classes, and community spaces—previously identified critical community needs.

  • We are asking the community to help shape what happens next regarding the rest of the Patterson Campus, including the courts.

North Eugene Campus
(New YMCA Location)

  • We have not yet identified property for this new YMCA.

  • This is likely a full-service YMCA, similar to the Don Stathos Campus at 24th and Hilyard.

  • In addition to the community assessment, we will be conducting a donor assessment this spring.

  • We are asking the community to help shape the spaces and programming that is most needed in north Eugene.

We hope you’ll take a few minutes to share your perspective when the survey launches. Your voice will help shape the future of the YMCA in our community.

Onward,
