Take on our 100-Mile Aqua Challenge, get crafty and social at one of the new Y Creative Connections adult art workshops, empower yourself with emergency preparedness classes, or try our Custom Coaching services and work toward a goal—whether it's improving your nutrition, mindfulness, stress management, or finally achieving that elusive crow pose. This is where creativity meets community! Our new monthly workshop series brings adults together to explore art, crafts and self-expression in a supportive space. Come as you are—leave inspired!

Group Exercise class policy reminders and updates

 

Make note of these policies, designed to make our Group Exercise classes as accessible as possible to all members:

  • Please make every effort to attend classes you register for. Members who no-show (register for but not attend) for 3 classes in 14 days will be blocked from registering for any Group Exercise classes for 7 days.
  • In an effort to give more people a chance to enjoy classes, members will now be limited to registering for 1 Group Exercise class per day.
 

We now offer Custom Coaching!

Diabetes Prevention Program - sessions beginning next week!

 

The YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program, part of the CDC-led National Diabetes Prevention Program, is a year-long program consisting of 26 classroom sessions. A trained Lifestyle Coach helps participants learn strategies for healthy eating, physical activity and other lifestyle changes.

 

The goal is to improve overall health and to help those with prediabetes understand the risks and options to learn new behaviors that last a lifetime.

100-Mile Aqua Challenge | AGES 12+

 

Dive in—registration is OPEN for the 2026 100-Mile Aqua Challenge! Push yourself to meet a long-term goal, find support from fellow swimmers and aqua joggers, and enjoy some friendly competition with fellow members in our Y app challenge!

 

Challenge dates: Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2026

2026 registration closes: Sunday, Mar. 1

Cost: Registration is free! T-shirts available for $20

 

Wibit days! | AGES 4+

 

Get ready for maximum fun—the Wibit is coming! If you're not familiar with the Wibit, picture a big, inflatable obstacle course set up on the Lap Pool. Adults can join in the fun, too!

 

Upcoming Wibit times:

  • Saturday, Feb. 7, 2 to 5:30 p.m.

These offerings feature varying group sizes and skill focuses, and are structured to suit many learning styles. These programs will help us develop new and exciting offerings to keep things fresh at the TPC! Soulful Stories | K-5TH GRADERS AND THEIR FAMILIES

 

Soulful Stories is a culturally responsive, literacy-focused event designed for children in grades K through 5 and their families! The session features a guest reader sharing The Heart Never Forgets by Ana Ot, followed by a hands-on craft or activity connected to the story's theme. This FREE event promotes family engagement, early literacy and cultural pride.

Books will be provided to families who register for the event.

 

When: Saturday, Feb. 7, 12 to 2 p.m.

Cost: Free!

One size doesn't fit all when it comes to fitness, and we're proud to offer a variety of active programs and events for both school-age kids and teens, so every child can build a lifelong habit of moving their body ♥️ Here's what's coming up:

 

Youth Aikido | AGES 6-12

Move with control, think with clarity, respond with respect. Each class builds kids' coordination, discipline and self-confidence! Free for members.

 

One-day Basketball Skills Clinics | K-8TH GRADE

Brush up for the winter season—this Saturday, Jan. 10, at Roosevelt Middle School.

 

Family Dodgeball Night | THE WHOLE FAMILY

Save the date! We'll be taking over the Youth Wing and Gym for dodgeball and more on Feb. 21. Get the whole family moving, together!

 

NinjaZone | K-1ST GRADE

February and March Lil' Ninjas sessions are open for registration!

 

Aerial Yoga for Teens | AGES 10-17

Join us for January—and now you can register the entire series or on a class-by-class basis!

 

Middle School Fitness Basics | 6TH-8TH GRADE

A free 1-on-1, hands-on orientation with Y staff allows middle-schoolers to earn Yellow Band access to the Cardio, Circuit and Stretching areas in the Health & Wellness Center. Register through the Y app as you would a group exercise class!

 

Middle School FitClub | 6TH-8TH GRADE

Returning in February as a free, drop-in class! Register through the Y app as you would a group exercise class.

 

Middle School Boxing Skills | 6TH-8TH GRADE

Through the basics of no-contact boxing, kids will build strength, coordination and confidence while learning the importance of focus and self-control. Register through the Y app as you would a group exercise class!

Need to renew your health insurance for 2026?  

 

Every January, we ask all of our insurance billing members to update and renew their information with us either at the Welcome Center, through email communication or by using the form linked here. Please also keep the contact information we have on file for you current, to avoid missing important communications!

No member parking at the Very Little Theater

 

Y member parking is not permitted in the Very Little Theater lot. Vehicles without valid VLT parking passes displayed are subject to towing at the owners' expense. Thank you for respecting our neighbors 💚

 

Aquatics in-services

 

The Aquatics Center (Lap Pool, Small Pool, Spray Pad, Hot Tub and Sauna) will be CLOSING EARLY at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, and Sunday, Feb. 1, for staff trainings. 

 

MLK Day closure

 

Your Y and Tennis and Pickleball Center will be CLOSED on Monday, Jan. 19, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

 

Early TPC closure

 

The Tennis and Pickleball Center will be CLOSING EARLY at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, for a staff event. Thank you for understanding!
