September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month At the Y, we know that every youth life matters. This month is a reminder to talk openly about mental health and to make sure youth know they are never alone. If a Y staff member hears or sees something that makes us worried about a youth's safety—including talk of suicide or self-harm—we will reach out to their family right away. If your family ever needs extra support, here are some trusted resources available 24/7: - 988 – Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text anytime)
-
Lane County Crisis Line – (541) 682-1001
- Looking Glass Youth & Family Crisis Line – (541) 689-3111
-
YouthLine – Call (877) 968-8491 or text “teen2teen” to 839863 (peer-to-peer support for youth)
- Crisis Text Line – Text "HOME" to 741741
Together, we can help build a community where every youth feels safe, supported and valued 💙 |
