Beat The Line! Swim Test Day is This Saturday

Saturday, May 23 | 12–4 pm | Goldstein Family Aquatic Center

No registration required. For families with children who need a swim test for the summer. Open swim will not be allowed once the test is complete. This day is for testing only. Please bring your own towel.

 

Swim Test Policy

All children, regardless of member status and ages 11 and under, must take a 25 meter swim test to determine their swim ability. Tests will be administered by a JCC lifeguard. Bands are issued to children after the completion of their swim test. Children must wear their designated swim level wrist band at all times.

New Program! Inclusive Sports Afternoon

Sunday, June 14 | 1-3 pm
JCC members & Non members | Ages 8-19

The Staenberg Omaha JCC is proud to partner with the Violet Hour Foundation and Play It Forward for an inclusive sporting event. The Violet Hour Foundation and Play It Forward are local non-profits that serve children and teens with disabilities. This special afternoon of sports will focus on basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Participants will be placed in small groups according to age. Groups will rotate through each sport station. Participants are encouraged to attend with a guardian who can act as their helper. If no guardian is available, please email Anna Palubecki at anna@violethourfoundation.org, and she will pair participants with a volunteer helper.

Featured Summer Camp

Advanced Cooking: 7th-8th Grade | June 8-12

Do you have some experience cooking and want to take it to the next level? Some experience required- will include chopping, using a stove top, and cooking in an oven. We will cook a variety of dishes each day and we will continue the tradition of serving a pancake feast to the JCC staff.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Fit & Sit (ages 6 weeks–8 years) and Kids Club (ages 8-12 years) is a complimentary childcare program open to those with Family level memberships only. Reservations are required through your Daxko account and can only be made 1 day in advance. Fit & Sit and Kids Club is held upstairs near the Youth Lounge.
