Omaha Jewish Community Food Drive

The continuing government shutdown and pause in SNAP benefits has left many Omaha families struggling to access nutritious food. In response, Omaha Mayor, John Ewing, has launched a city-wide campaign to support local food pantries.

In support of this initiative, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), an agency of the Jewish Federation of Omaha, is mobilizing the Omaha Jewish community in a coordinated effort to collect food and supplies.

From now until the end of the government shutdown, the JCRC and partnering organizations will be collecting nonperishable food items, baby supplies, and hygiene products. Donations can be dropped off in the big blue bin located inside the vestibule of the main Front Entrance (Door 2).

For more information, please contact Pam Monsky, 402.334.6572 or pmonsky@jewishomaha.org.
