At the Berkshire Family YMCA, we are committed to strengthening our community by providing quality programs, welcoming facilities, and opportunities for people of all ages to learn, grow, and thrive. Your membership makes that possible, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support.
To help us continue investing in our facilities, programs, and the communities we serve, several membership updates will take effect on September 1, 2026.
MEMBERSHIP RATE CHANGES
Effective September 1, monthly membership rates will be adjusted for most membership categories. These changes help ensure we can continue providing the high-quality services and experiences our members expect while advancing the YMCA's mission.

JOIN FEE
Beginning September 1, a one-time $6 join fee will apply when a new membership is started or when an inactive membership is reactivated. Members who maintain an active membership will not be charged the join fee.
AUTOMATIC MONTHLY PAYMENTS
We encourage members to maintain a credit card or bank account on file for convenient automatic monthly payments. Automatic payments help ensure uninterrupted access to your membership and eliminate the need to manually make monthly payments.
Automatic monthly payments will be required for:
- Members renting a monthly locker. Locker rentals require an active membership with automatic monthly payments.
- Members receiving financial assistance scholarship support.
- Only members with automatic payments may place their membership on hold (see hold details).
We understand that any increase can affect household budgets. Donor-supported financial assistance is available to those who qualify through the John F. Rogers Memorial Scholarship.
Many Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other health insurance plans offer YMCA memberships as a covered benefit. If you have one of these plans, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider or speak with our Welcome Center staff to see if you qualify.
